Comparison of open positions (trusted strategy type)

Coinmatics has several types of strategies depending on the management of copy trading and subscriber API keys. Read more about the different types of strategies here.

The functionality in this article is for one of them - “Trusted strategy type”. This type requires access to the clients' API keys or their funds as traders will manage the copy trading on their [clients’] behalf.

So let's take a closer look at the comparison of open positions.

On Coinmatics, both the open and close orders of the futures position are copied to the subscribers' exchange accounts (by market). For this reason, if a subscriber does not copy the open order, he won't be able to close it (because there is nothing to close). Most of the position values should be the same as on the trader’s account.

To keep track of the way the position is opened, there is a table of all the open positions on the connected clients' exchange accounts. It shows if the positions were opened on the subscribers’ accounts the same way as on the trader’s account.

The table contains the following information about the open positions: Margin, Position, Leverage, Margin %, Average Price and its Last Update.

In the first row of the table you can see the trader's position. Then you can see the positions of subscribers. Depending on the difference in values, the cells are highlighted in blue, yellow or red.
